FAKTOR PEMILIHAN MODA TRANSPORTASI BERDASARKAN CIRI PERGERAKAN (STUDI KASUS : ANGKUTAN UMUM DI KORIDOR DJKA-BANDARA SULTAN MAHMUD BADARUDDIN II KOTA PALEMBANG)

ABSTRACT

This study aims to (1) analyze the selection factors based on the characteristics of the movement of users of transportation modes. (2) describe the factors of choosing the mode of transportation based on the means of transportation used by the DJKA-Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II corridor in Palembang City. This type of research is quantitative research. The population in this study consisted of all users of public transportation modes in the city of Palembang. Determination in the selection of respondents using accidental sampling technique. Data analysis techniques use the percentage of data to see the size of the frequency of respondents' answers calculated in the form of a percentage. This study found that: (1) the characteristics of the movement of users of public transportation modes are travel destination, travel time, and distance traveled. In the LRT mode of transportation the most travel destinations are recreational trips to Punti Kayu located in KM 5 Palembang City as many as 35 people with a percentage of 32.4%. while the purpose of the transmission trip was dominated by students by 31.4% with educational goals in the afternoon (23.7%). Different from the modes of transportation of angkot, the purpose of travel using angkot is dominated by shopping to the market (28%) in the afternoon (37%). (2) the choice of transportation modes based on the means of transportation used in the city of Palembang is different, the LRT transportation mode is due to convenience considerations (63.23%), while the most important factor is the consideration of transmuting the safety considerations (61.11%) and the selection of angkot. due to the consideration of speed of time (57.14%) and selection with consideration of price (52.94%).
