Abstrak

The aim of this research determined the implementation of Sapta Pesona in Padang Beach. The kind of this research is descriptive with qualitative approach. The subject is tourism and culture department of Padang City represented by Mr. Edral Saputra, 12 tourists and 5 local people’s. The results of the study found that in carrying out the seven elements of the Sapta Pesona program in Padang Beach there were well-implemented indicators, namely (1) security, (2) coolness, (3) beauty, (4) hospitality and (5) memories, while the two elements of Sapta Pesona have not been done well, namely (1) order and (2) cleanliness. The application of Sapta Pesona has not been implemented because of the less awareness of the public and tourists in creating a conducive environment in Padang Beach attractions.
