Abstrak

Solok City is a strategic area and has a central role in supporting the economy of urban communities. The increase in population, population activity and changes in urban land cover have reduced the existence of vegetated land and increased land development. The dynamics of this land will affect the microclimate of an area which has an impact on rising temperatures in the area. This study aims to determine the dynamics of built land and urban vegetation and find out how strong the influence of changes in built-up land and urban vegetation on rising urban temperatures. The method used for image transformation in this study is the NDBI (Normalized Different Built-up Index), NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) and LST (Land Surface Temperature). The result of linear regression analysis shows that the presence of land is built to affect surface temperature. The relationship of variable X to Y in 1997 shows a strong relationship, namely the value of R Square obtained for the 1997 equation, which is 0.888, in 2008 amounted to 0.801 and in 2018 amounted to 0.805. The value of R Square as a result of linear regression between vegetation density and surface temperature in 1997 is 0.736, 0.772 in 2008  and 0.779 in 2018. The urban heat island phenomenon occurs in the Solok city  as evidenced by the average surface temperature that falls from the downtown area to the suburbs.
